Before a psychic reading, decide what area of your life you would like to have delved into and how deep.

Which area would most benefit from the advice of a psychic – relationship, money or career, health, curiosity about future events- or would you just prefer a general reading and be guided by what comes up as being significant for you? Have you had a reading before? Have you left it long enough before seeking another for predicted events to unfold yet? Don’t get another until you have left a decent amount of time for this to happen!

Prepare your questions
Focus on two to maybe three of the most important questions that have. Word them in a way so as you don’t box your your psychic into a corner with leading information. Example: “Where’s (name) in regards to how they are feeling and thinking about me?” compared to “When is (name) coming back to me?”. Some people requesting a reading bombard a psychic with hundreds of fast fire questions and don’t wait to get any response in between. This just means nothing will be achieved and no answers can be given.

Be honest with yourself, why are you asking these questions?
Do you want to hear only, what you wish to hear only? If so, call a friend who will indulge you – not a psychic. Are you ready to face the truth and take action if you hear unwelcome news? Are you ready to be honest with yourself and take responsibility? Can you really handle the truth? It’s not fair to berate a psychic if they don’t feel that ‘your ex’ is coming back! Don’t shoot the messenger.

Fixing a Fee to avoid unpleasant surprises afterwards
Most good independent psychics will state their fees upfront. They clearly state their fee for a reading or cost per minute. Do be careful and check before you begin, as some large companies will also add on V.A.T etc. afterwards. I myself provide a fixed fee service.

During a psychic reading
Be open-minded. As a quality psychic reading is an exchange and ‘allowing’ of energy flow, and being in a clear and relaxed state helps your psychic stay on focus. The more open you are, the more detailed and specific the reading will often be. You should approach your reading with an attitude of assisting your advisor by not resisting the information they bring forth but instead, try to go with the flow of the information. After all, you wouldn’t go to an accountant etc. for advice and treat them as if they have to be wrong, don’t know what they are talking about and that their advice is of no value- would you?

Be Honest with yourself - Does the information and advice feel and sound true and right for you?
An accurate psychic reader should be able to answer your question with little more than your name, age and the names of people you are asking about, but a psychic may also ask you to confirm time-lines and information that they are picking up to ensure that you are both connecting. No reading is 100% accurate, but you should expect 65-95% accuracy. If during the psychic reading, you genuinely think and feel that the psychic advice you are receiving is not applicable in any way to your question, politely discontinue the reading.

Do you both connect?
Sometimes, a psychic simply cannot connect with a person – we don’t know for sure why this happens but it clearly does from time to time.  If this happens, don’t immediately assume that your psychic is rubbish! I once gave a very detailed reading to a woman who said none of it made any sense to her. She was distraught and disappointed (as was I), as she had consulted me prior once a year for many years and she had always found my readings to be accurate and helpful. On this occasion, she had called me in a very stressed state and I feel this made the difference. I really tried but nothing I was picking up on a psychic level was making any sense to her at all. I was as upset as she was. Remember, most psychics, really do want to help you and ease you through any difficulties that you may be having. This is why most psychics agree to give reading to people in the first place, after all.

She later recounted everything that had been said during her reading, to her sister (who she had been worrying about at the time that she called me) and the information turned out to be 100% accurate for her sister- not herself! Crossed wires don’t just happen on the telephone exchanges! It seems that the universe can get it’s wires crossed too. Some may feel that in any case, the correct person got what they needed by way of information at the end of the day. It is advisable that you are prepared to take brief notes during your reading. Try putting the notes away with the psychics name and contact details for at least three months before reviewing them for accuracy. I once picked up for a lady that she would be offered a new job within the next three months, who called me back the next day complaining that it had not yet happened! Be realistic, if you are told an event will happen in a time frame, allow the time to elapse before denigrating the psychic’s accuracy.

Be Realistic
Don’t expect your psychic to locate your keys, or tell you the day, time, and even weather of a future event! Sometimes a psychic can do so and be very precise about it- at other times to be so precise is difficult or even impossible even though they may get very, very close indeed.

After your psychic reading
Provide Feedback to the psychic (we really do like to know if you have found your reading to be helpful) and if they are good, recommend them to your friends and family. An honest evaluation focusing on ability, accuracy and honesty is of value to others. It’s a nice thing to do for people and may prevent them from seeking advice from dishonest people posing as psychics. Follow up and take action on the information received during your reading- otherwise you have wasted both your time and the assistance provided to you by your psychic.

Britain’s MoD admitted exploring psychic ability, MoD defends UK psychic study.
A report declassified in Feb 2007 under the UK’s Freedom of Information Act reveals that Britain’s Ministry of Defence has been testing psychics. The series of tests took place in a secret location and without any press coverage.

British media reported that in 2002, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) attempted to get 12 professional psychics to prove their powers, apparently in an effort to determine whether they could offer their services in defense of their country, The psychics declined (perhaps with good reason).  A Defence Ministry spokesperson has alluded to “remote viewing” in a statement to the press, and that appears to have been the skill for which the researchers were mainly testing. In remote viewing, a person can accurately picture a real, distant location in their mind. The military has been conducting secret tests to find out if British soldiers can be trained to use an innate psychic ability – possibly to locate hidden weapons stores or discover where Osama bin Laden is based. The Ministry of Defence study, conducted in 2002, involved blindfolding volunteers and asking them to “see” the contents of sealed brown envelopes. The MoD have said they found that “remote viewing theories” had little value and the project was allegedly abandoned.

Documents released under the Freedom of Information Act show that 28% of those tested managed a close guess at the contents of the envelopes, which included pictures of a knife and Mother Teresa. But most subjects were hopelessly off the mark.
Nick Pope, who ran the MoD UFO research programme and worked at the ministry for over twenty years, is reported to have said: “It can only be speculation, but you don’t employ that kind of time and effort to find money down the back of the sofa. We must be talking about Bin Laden and weapons of mass destruction.” Now 28% of ‘average Joe’ soldiers managed to accurately report the contents of a sealed envelope – none of them claimed to have any psychic ability prior to testing. This is huge and not to be a fact that is played down. These results inherently shows that indeed psychic ability is a real phenomena, in many peoples view. Imagine how high and perhaps accurate the results could have been, had they tested people who did exhibit psychic ability prior to the tests or had tested people that had been trained in remote viewing? Studies performed in the USA and former USSR would indicate, that in that case, results can prove to be 85% or higher in accuracy!

Some people can play chop sticks on a piano, other can play ‘Moon Light Sonata’, and psychic ability is no different in untrained individuals. Many accurate psychics have been known to assist the police and military and in many cases, they are not going to admit this fact openly for obvious reasons. It is believed that psychic testing is actually continuing in many countries in the world. Most working psychics would think twice about getting involved with psychic testing by the military and may even have even shyed away from helping the police. Not too many psychics would relish the idea of being drafted in to the military or being treated as a national security threat if their ability was proven and prefer instead to assist ordinary people with their psychic abilities. It is also not unknown for a psychic to assist the authorities, pick up ‘to many’ accurate details for comfort and end up being investigated in case they are involved- yet many continue to help where they can. Psychics generally like to help individuals by offering psychic readings in order to help a person gain insight, control and feel empowered to change their lives for the better.
