Before a psychic reading, decide what area of your life you would like to have delved into and how deep.

Which area would most benefit from the advice of a psychic – relationship, money or career, health, curiosity about future events- or would you just prefer a general reading and be guided by what comes up as being significant for you? Have you had a reading before? Have you left it long enough before seeking another for predicted events to unfold yet? Don’t get another until you have left a decent amount of time for this to happen!

Prepare your questions
Focus on two to maybe three of the most important questions that have. Word them in a way so as you don’t box your your psychic into a corner with leading information. Example: “Where’s (name) in regards to how they are feeling and thinking about me?” compared to “When is (name) coming back to me?”. Some people requesting a reading bombard a psychic with hundreds of fast fire questions and don’t wait to get any response in between. This just means nothing will be achieved and no answers can be given.

Be honest with yourself, why are you asking these questions?
Do you want to hear only, what you wish to hear only? If so, call a friend who will indulge you – not a psychic. Are you ready to face the truth and take action if you hear unwelcome news? Are you ready to be honest with yourself and take responsibility? Can you really handle the truth? It’s not fair to berate a psychic if they don’t feel that ‘your ex’ is coming back! Fixing a Fee to avoid unpleasant surprises afterwards
Most good independent psychics will state their fees upfront. They clearly state their fee for a reading or cost per minute. Do be careful and check before you begin, as some large companies will also add on V.A.T etc. afterwards. I myself provide a fixed fee service.

During a psychic reading
Be open-minded. As a quality psychic reading is an exchange and ‘allowing’ of energy flow, and being in a clear and relaxed state helps your psychic stay on focus. The more open you are, the more detailed and specific the reading will often be. You should approach your reading with an attitude of assisting your advisor by not resisting the information they bring forth but instead, try to go with the flow of the information. After all, you wouldn’t go to an accountant etc. for advice and treat them as if they have to be wrong, don’t know what they are talking about and that their advice is of no value- would you?

Be Honest with yourself - Does the information and advice feel and sound true and right for you?
An accurate psychic reader should be able to answer your question with little more than your name, age and the names of people you are asking about, but a psychic may also ask you to confirm time-lines and information that they are picking up to ensure that you are both connecting. No reading is 100% accurate, but you should expect 65-95% accuracy. If during the psychic reading, you genuinely think and feel that the psychic advice you are receiving is not applicable in any way to your question, politely discontinue the reading.

Do you both connect?
Sometimes, a psychic simply cannot connect with a person – we don’t know for sure why this happens but it clearly does from time to time.  If this happens, don’t immediately assume that your psychic is rubbish! I once gave a very detailed reading to a woman who said none of it made any sense to her. She was distraught and disappointed (as was I), as she had consulted me prior once a year for many years and she had always found my readings to be accurate and helpful. On this occasion, she had called me in a very stressed state and I feel this made the difference. I really tried but nothing I was picking up on a psychic level was making any sense to her at all. I was as upset as she was. Remember, most psychics, really do want to help you and ease you through any difficulties that you may be having. This is why most psychics agree to give reading to people in the first place, after all.

She later recounted everything that had been said during her reading, to her sister (who she had been worrying about at the time that she called me) and the information turned out to be 100% accurate for her sister- not herself! Crossed wires don’t just happen on the telephone exchanges! It seems that the universe can get it’s wires crossed too. Some may feel that in any case, the correct person got what they needed by way of information at the end of the day. It is advisable that you are prepared to take brief notes during your reading. Try putting the notes away with the psychics name and contact details for at least three months before reviewing them for accuracy. I once picked up for a lady that she would be offered a new job within the next three months, who called me back the next day complaining that it had not yet happened! Be realistic, if you are told an event will happen in a time frame, allow the time to elapse before denigrating the psychic’s accuracy. Be Realistic
Don’t expect your psychic to locate your keys, or tell you the day, time, and even weather of a future event! Sometimes a psychic can do so and be very precise about it- at other times to be so precise is difficult or even impossible even though they may get very, very close indeed.

After your psychic reading
Provide Feedback to the psychic (we really do like to know if you have found your reading to be helpful) and if they are good, recommend them to your friends and family. An honest evaluation focusing on ability, accuracy and honesty is of value to others. It’s a nice thing to do for people and may prevent them from seeking advice from dishonest people posing as psychics. Follow up and take action on the information received during your reading- otherwise you have wasted both your time and the assistance provided to you by your psychic. Psychics – Fact and Fiction

Do you know the facts about psychics and psychic readings? You should explore them before obtaining a psychic reading, or obtaining advice or guidance.

Fiction : Psychics just read minds
Fact: Psychic readers can sometimes read minds however, if they do have that ability, they often don’t use it. It would become exhausting and affect their mental health to try to do so. Having said that, some things like intuition and face reading (also known as cold reading) can occur if a psychic can see you. On the phone or a psychic reading by email precludes this possibility.

Fiction : Psychics know everything about the person, they could even tell you your phone number!

Fact : Psychic readers often centre on specific areas of concern as requested by the person getting a psychic reading. A psychic may be gifted with the ability to remote view and may see certain private details but it’s not specific to the reading, it may go by the wayside. During a consultation spirit, the universe of whatever you’d like to belive is the source – I trust will endeavour to give the required and useful information to the questioner only.

Psychics

Fiction : Readers may tell you some thing dreadful about death or dying.
Fact: Psychics have a strong moral code of ethics that they adhere to and these don’t  include telling people about things they can’t control. As far as bad news goes, there are always professional ways to go about giving negative news, however time and date of death isn’t normally something a psychic is able to sense, it will not add value or benefit to a person to know in any case. If bad news is a concern, a good reader will be able to help you navigate or avoid the events by providing their insight.

Fiction : Psychic readers are scammers.
Fact : Professional readers strive to provide a valuable, helpful and useful service which aids and one that’s not a rip off. It may surprise you to hear but I turn away anyone I believe to be intoxicated or vulnerable and may refer them to an appropriate professional who can help them if a situation warrants it.

Fiction : Psychic readers are fakes and often use cold reading techniques.
Fact : Fraudulent alleged psychics use these techniques to defraud others but they are thankfully few and far between. If you obtain a phone psychic or email reading there is no possibility of this as the psychics cannot see you!

Fiction : A psychics not real if they ask any questions at all.
Fact : A psychic may need to ask you a question or two. They may need to clarify what time line they are sensing facts about or focus in on a particular man/women or love of yours and if for example both you exes had dark hair and were 5’9 – psychics may need to double check a fact or two with you to ensure that they are focusing on the correct dark haired 5’9 person.

Fiction : All readers are psychics.
Fact : Some readers are not psychics, and not all psychics are readers! Your teacher, doctor or waitress may possibly be a psychic who chooses not to be a psychic reader. Being a psychic just means you’ve heightened senses (a sixth sense) . A reader may just have knowledge of an ancient tool or art and can interpret set result but doesn’t necessarily make intuitive leaps in translating the data reaped from tarot, astrology, numerology, palmistry etc.. Psychic sense’s on the other hand may include: Clairvoyance (sight), Clairaudience (hearing), Clairsentience (feeling) or Psychometry. Psychics tune into the “universe or a spirit guide” (bypassing the need for Tarot) etc. They pick up psychically and interpret the results relaying them to you. Readers who are not psychic, study a system and interpret the results but may not be as accurate as a natural psychic who doesn’t employ such methods. Check first before you engage in a reading that your reader is a psychic if that’s what you require.

Fiction : Psychic readers shouldn’t charge for what they do because it’s a spiritual gift.
Fact : Professional psychics offer an valuable service from which you’re benefiting when you obtain a reading. While it may be a gift, many people have gifts: athletes, chefs, thespians, physicians etc. Since we live in a society that requires us to have and use money to survive, psychics  need to earn a living as they’ve bills to pay too.  If we don’t work as a psychic, then we are wasting our gift and that doesn’t make sense. As for it being spiritual, even priests, monks and similar ‘spiritual’ people in many societies are and have to be financially supported.

Fiction : All psychics or readers know the past, present, and future and facts and figures and all work the same way.
Fact : Psychics or readers don’t all have the same abilities. Some may be Mediums, some may be Clairvoyants and some may use their ability to perform your reading with Psychometry. So check how your chosen psychic work before you start a consultation.

Fiction : A reading is set in solid stone.
Fact : The bulk of professional readers trust in a combination of freewill and destiny. Freewill allows you the ‘freedom’ to change the course of your life at any time if you wish. Destiny is something that just happens to you and there’s no or little chance of really getting around it. A readers job is to help you navigate destiny’s curve balls and either find the smoothest course through or help you turn matters to your advantage. As you will be armed with new incite after a psychic reading and may decide to make a change of your current course, no reader is 100% accurate because of this as when you decide to move the goal posts and exercise your discretion to make changes, your course and outcome may change to. This is a good thing and the psychic reading has enabled you to change course at your free will.

Fiction : Testing a psychic or trying to fool them will prove psychic accuracy.
Fact: Testing a psychic this way won’t prove their accuracy but will cause them confusion. By doing this you could totally distort your reading, you could deter the reader and never really get a reading as psychics typically know if you’re being honest or not. Telling lies or distorting facts may just lead a psychic to tell you they cannot read for you, as they may feel annoyed at having their time wasted or even feel that they’re not or cannot pick up information for you on a psychic level when in affect they can.
